Requirements needed to be place on
VIRS Referral List
In order to officially add your name to our referral list we must
receive the following:
For Nationally Certified Interpreters:
For Pre-certified Interpreters:
- a copy of your state screening letter and/or documentation of
your completion of an interpreter training program with a current
copy of your resumé
- two years of professional experience interpreting
- a signed Agreement form
(pdf)/Code of Professional Conduct
- three reference letters - two from Deaf individuals and one
from a certified RID interpreter
- notification of having taken the RID Written Test if available
