Request an Interpreter Emergency: How to get an Interpreter when VIRS is closed

Fee For Service

A finder’s fee will be charged based on the number of days of the assignment and the number of interpreters required. A late fee will be charged in addition to the regular finder’s fee for any non-emergency requests received with less than one week notice.

Duration of Assignment State Agencies, Public Schools & Businesses Non-profit Organizations
(must have fewer than 50 employees and have 501C3 status)
Up to eight hours: $35 for each interpreter $30 for each interpreter

Conference 2 or more days: $35 for each interpreter per day $30 for each interpreter per day
On-going assignments:
college class, once a month meetings, 8 week training, etc.)
$75 for one interpreter.
• If other interpreters are needed to fill all the dates, there will be a $35 charge per interpreter.
$65 for one interpreter.
• If other interpreters are needed to fill all the dates, there will be a $30 charge per interpreter.
Six or more meeting/classes If two interpreters are needed, there will be a $105 charge and $35 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates. If two interpreters are needed, there will be an $95 charge and $30 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates.
On-going requests
five or less meetings/classes
• $50 for one interpreter, $35 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates.
• $75 for two interpreters. $35 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates.
• $40 for one interpreter, $30 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates.
• $65 for two interpreters, $30 for each additional interpreter needed to fill all the dates.
Requests made with less than one week notice: A late fee of $35 will be charged in addition to the regular rates listed above.
